My Little India (Going To Goa) is a collection of photos taken during my month long visit to India in December 2009 / January 2010.
Beginning our journey as we landed in Mumbai Christmas Day, we took some time visiting such sights as the Gateway of India, The Hanging Gardens of Mumbai, The New Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and Juhu Beach.
We made way from Mumbai to Goa via one very, very, very long bus ride. (Did I mention it was a VERY long bus ride?)
Upon our arrival we visited various beaches along the Arabian Sea, walking miles of fine sanded shores, lined with coconut palm trees, huts and markets, street foods and sunsets.
Waking every morning to the rising tide, a cup of chai and the beautiful resonating mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum."
We made way through the Anjuna, Arambol and Apora markets where merchants and visitors wheeled and dealed over 100, 500, 1000 rupees.
Evening arrives as the tide rolls back to the sea and locales begin their daily mantra biding the sun goodnight.
The people of Goa are warm with wonder and selfless with sharing.
I thank them as well as you for taking the time and hope you enjoyed My Little India.
A special acknowledgement to Paula Tursi and Reflections Yoga for sharing her love, compassion and spiritual guidance. I am forever grateful and inspired. Much Peace and a whole lotta love. Thank you P !
